James McKissic and his father ran Mac Galleries for over 30 years, highlighting Black artists. With support from Motor City Match, he reopened in Detroit's Avenue of Fashion, aiming to bring excellence to his community and beyond, inspired by the legacy of Paradise Valley.
Darryl Oliver
Darryl Oliver found his purpose through Detroit at Work in 2020, transforming his life and launching We're Here II, a thriving energy audit business serving Detroit. Thanks to city programs, he not only bought his first home but is also building a lasting wealth legacy for his daughter.
